On the afternoon of May 9th, the seminar on "Inheritance and Innovation of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture" and the 2021 Membership Representative Conference of Gansu Chinese Traditional Culture Research Association were held in the Activity Center of Lanzhou University.

   Fan Peng, on behalf of the Committee of Education, Science, Culture and Health of the Standing Committee of Gansu Provincial People's Congress and Dunhuang Philosophical Society of Gansu Province, congratulated the opening of the conference.

   Meng Guangcheng, on behalf of Gansu Federation of Social Sciences, read out the reply to the approval of gansu Chinese Traditional Culture Research Society to hold the fifth member congress, and agreed to the list of cadres nominated by Gansu Chinese Traditional Culture Research Society. Research institute vice president Chen Shengbai for work report, research institute vice president Liang Yiren for financial report.

   After awarding the letter of appointment and taking a group photo, the seminar "Inheritance and Innovation of Chinese excellent traditional Culture" officially began, chaired by Professor Li Xiaochun of Lanzhou University. Professor Fan Peng, director of the Education, Science, Culture and Health Working Committee of the Standing Committee of Gansu Provincial People's Congress and professor of The School of Marxism of Lanzhou University, gave a report entitled several basic problems of "Creative Transformation and Innovative Development". Professor Wang Xiaoxing, School of Philosophy and Society, Lanzhou University, gave a report entitled "Filial piety" and "Kindness" in Mencius' philosophy. Professor Jiang Zongqiang, dean of philosophy School of Northwest Normal University, delivered a speech on the topic of "Analysis of the reasons for Kumarajiva's" breaking the precepts ".

 Free discussion session was moderated by the new president Chen Shengbai. Xie Jizhong, Qu Zhimin and Peng Zhanguo gave speeches on the inheritance of traditional culture and the development of the Seminar.At the end of the event，Prof.Chen Shengbai made a summary speech.
