Science Economy Society was founded in 1983 and first published in August 1984. Science Economy Society is an interdisciplinary comprehensive academic journal, which is sponsored by Lanzhou University and is administrated by the Ministry of Education. It contains science, technology, philosophy and sociology in one volume. Dedicated to the investigation and exploration of the coherent development of science, economy and society, and focusing on solving major academic problems appearing in the process of the socialist modernization of China, the journal consistently improves its academic quality and practical applicability. It has the following columns: Study of Development in Less Developed Regions, Traditional Culture and Modernization, Economic Forum, Society Focus, Science and Philosophy, Law and Economics, Journalism and Communication, etc. It strives to innovate its materials and forms and to contribute to the development and modernization in West China and other undeveloped regions. Science Economy Society is included in the Chinese core journals and the Chinese major periodicals in humanities and social sciences. It has been successively selected to the CSSCI source journals since 1992.
