The school of philosophy and society in Lanzhou University is an earlier school to accept foreign students, which started the international student education in 1999. Recent years, the international education of the school has made great progress, the scale has been expanded, the student level has been improved, and the number of students has been expanded increased. The school has received 20 to 30 international students who are from South Korea, Japan, Germany, Singapore, Slovakia, Egypt, Indonesia, Morocco, Liberia, Zambia, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other countries and regions. The school formulates a training program for international students to facilitate foreign students to understand their training program and curriculum system. The school pays attention to the education of foreign students, we set up a specialized vice presidents and administrative personnel in charge to be responsible for the daily management of foreign students.

At present, we adopt the assimilation management method on the education and student affairs. As the main Department of international student education and management, the school is responsible for the business such as revision of international student training program, enrollment review, teaching activity organization, teaching quality monitoring and academic achievement evaluation. The school explores and develops an all-round way for the education of foreign students in many aspects like the teaching philosophy, training mode and management mode. We implement a flexible training system to provides more flexible learning arrangements for foreign students, constantly optimizes the study environment and ensures the training quality of foreign students.
